Parks & Recreation Board

The Bethel Township Parks & Recreation Board meets the 1st Tuesday of every month at 7pm at the John L. Meyers Memorial Township Building,1092 Bethel Road, Garnet Valley, PA  19060.  

 The Parks & Recreation Board assists the Township with planning a number of events for Township residents each year including:

  • Easter Egg Hunt (March/April)
  • Bird Walk and Kids' Bird Scavenger Hunt in conjunction with the Bethel Township Preservation Society's Annual Historic Log House Tour. (May)
  • Movie Night (June)
  • Corn Boil (August)
  • Phillies Night (July/August)
  • Trunk or Treat (October)
  • Lunch with Santa (December)
  • Holiday Tree Lighting (December)
Upcoming Events for 2018
  • Movie Night: Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Dusk. Join us on the field at BSES to celebrate the last day of school with a showing of Despicable Me 3 (Rain date: Friday, July 15th).
  • Fireworks: Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Dusk. (Rain date: Thursday, July 5th).  Arrive early and carpool.  Limited Parking available at BSES and BCP.
  • Corn Boil:  Sunday, August 12, 2018 4pm to 8pm.  Township residents are invited for an afternoon of free food, entertainment and games. Residents are encouraged to bring a dessert and a canned good for the Bethel Food Bank.
